A Beautiful Woman Faces the Challenge and Sometimes Excitement of a One-of-a-Kind Body in Duet from Incanto Press

Incanto Press announces the publication of Duet as part of its inaugural Discovery Series.

San Francisco, CA, USA (July 8, 2014) -- Incanto Press (http://www.incantopress.com), announces the publication of Duet as part of its inaugural Discovery Series. Each book in the Discovery Series takes readers on a compelling and surprising journey. This journey takes readers through New York City, several men and a twenty something young woman who has a unique body part that makes Duet a one-of-a-kind adventure.

Written by highly acclaimed author, Gay Walley & c0-authored by Kurt Haber, humor carries readers through Duet’s misadventures as she navigates men’s desires and fears. She’s beautiful and talented and has no problem getting a man’s attention. What these men don’t know is there is something beyond appearance that makes Duet different than any other women they’ve been with. To say it simply, she has an unusual anatomy. It’s unlike anything any man has ever experienced; it might over excite one man, but terrify another. Her complexities leave her feeling like a freak and, to add to that, the men her friend Paula sets her up with are all fools. This is true until she meets a handsome young man named Oskar.

He’s a successful, sexy, intelligent and witty young man who can handle her “design.” This leads to love even though he’s a bit aloof and there is something odd about him. It turns out Oskar is connected to Duet in more ways than one. Will Oskar be one of the many fools who have come and gone from Duet’s life or will their “connection” make them closer?

Duet is a romp full of vibrant, unexpected characters doing unexpected things, as they love, move toward and away from each other. It’s also a metaphor for how we must also risk love, no matter what bodies we’re given, and no matter what unusual choices of the heart we make.

Gay Walley is the author of two prior novels. Strings Attached (University Press of Mississippi, 1999) was a finalist for the Pirates Alley/Faulkner Award, the Writer’s Voice Capricorn Award, and Paris Book Festival Award. The Erotic Fire of the Unattainable (IML Publications, 2007) is being reissued by Skyhorse Publishing in 2014. It was a finalist for Paris Book Festival Award. A film based on the book is currently under production from a script written by Ms. Walley. She is also a Zoetrope finalist for her story, The Naked Maja. Her play Love, Genius and a Walk opened at the 2013 Midtown Festival in New York and was nominated for six awards including best playwright. It is scheduled to be produced Off-Broadway. Gay Walley lives in New York City.

Kurt Haber’s literary career has ranged from social commentator, memoirist, diarist, essayist, librettist, political pundit, and fantasist. At various times Kurt has been a modest saber fencer, tournament polo--player, and frequent but unranked tennis player.
