The Consequences of Our Tax Code

Birmingham, AL - Every year, families make financial decisions, and as a result, experience some unforeseen -- and unintended consequences. This could be an unexpected tax event, it may have been a broken relationship, or a business failure. (All of which and more, by the way, is why taxpayers should be sure to ask their tax professional about tax planning this year, rather than just the required tax “reporting” - which is what the tax return preparation process really is.) Local tax expert and CPA, Martha Echols, offers some insight.

“Sometimes these consequences are because of the tax code itself,” Echols said. “Take marriage, for example. The foundations of most civilizations function on the principle that children are best raised in a home by two parents in a committed relationship. As such, couples have always been encouraged to marry. (My point, by the way, is about what’s in the tax code, and how it encourages social change. So this is NOT at all to speak of anything related to the special heroism which is single parenthood.) But for many couples, our current tax code actually discourages marriage, and I think it’s a shame.”

Here’s how it does so...

“An individual who is working but makes a smaller income qualifies for the \"Earned Income Tax Credit\" (EITC),” Echols explained. “It’s refundable, which means that whether you owe that amount in tax or not, you may still receive it as a refund. The amount is calculated based on your salary, filing status and number of children. There is a plateau at which point the amount of the credit goes down.”

Without going into all the math, here’s an example: If a taxpayer and their partner are not married but have two children, they have some flexibility. Each of them can earn $17,100 and still collect the maximum $3,169 for a total of $6,338.

A married couple, on the other hand, with two children earning the same $34,200 would only collect $2,735. The formula \"penalizes\" them $3,603, or 10.5% of their salaries, simply because they are legally married.

And the marriage penalty only increases as income and the number of children rise. The\"penalty\" can be as high as $8,400 when compared against unmarried couples in certain salary levels.

“This should be sobering to us as a society,” Echols continued.I have no problem whatsoever with each individual making their own choices in these matters. And the EITC receives support from all parties because it’s an incentive to work (it only is received when there is a job in place). But we shouldn’t disincentivize a civilizational building block through our tax code.”

One solution could be to extend it to all individuals equally, regardless of marital status. But the point is this: our choices have consequences, many of which aren’t immediately apparent. So be wise, and have a guide in making tax and financial decisions moving forward.

“It helps to have someone who’s seen the road ahead,” Echols said.

Mar. 29, 2013 - TORONTO, Canada -- Hangtime Fitness is Helping Canadian Educators Fight Obesity in Children

Health and Physical Educators Focus of Youth Fitness Summit

Hangtime Fitness is hosting Canada’s first ever Youth Fitness Summit May 4th and 5th at York University to unite HPE Educators with the youth fitness industry by providing a solid leadership and defining voice within the field of youth fitness education.

Toronto, March 27th, 2013 - Over the last decade or so, we have witnessed the deterioration of our kids’ physical activity and fitness levels to the point where health risks for kids have skyrocketed.

Experienced HPE teachers accustomed to teaching groups of students who for the most part were physically active by nature, have suddenly found they’re working with kids who have limited or no physical activity experience whatsoever.

Many HPE teachers, and school officials, just weren’t ready, willing or quick enough to adapt to changing realities and the growing threats of youth inactivity and obesity. What once worked to build a successful school fitness program, no longer does. And what once worked to engage students and bolster participation has become ineffective in light of today’s fitness research and training and development methods.

David Kittner, Director of Education for Hangtime Fitness, states “In the history of the youth fitness industry, there has never been a greater convergence of need, awareness, desire, low barrier opportunity, product education, and voids in the lives of our youth waiting to be filled.

He goes on to say that “as an HPE teacher there has never been a better time than right now to launch, re-invent, grow, expand and strengthen the fitness programs within their schools.”

Hangtime Fitness has assembled several of the youth fitness industry’s top leading experts including keynote speaker and author of Spark, Dr. John Ratey, to help HPE Educators become the best at delivering youth fitness programs within their schools.

Hangtime Fitness was founded by fitness equipment professionals who saw the need to get back to basics, and to get people active in a fun, group environment. Dewey Street, First-of-its-kind Home For Crafting In Las Vegas, Opens Its Doors

Family business is only in the area to offer wide variety of crafting lessons and long arm quilting

Mar. 29, 2013 - LAS VEGAS -- LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Three generations of love for crafting are the foundation for the newly opened Dewey Street, a store that offers lessons and long arm quilting, on South Durango in Las Vegas. Dewey Street prides itself as the only single gathering place for “crafty creatives” in Southern Nevada. Courses and quilting will be led  by the three founders: Cindy Nickerson and her two daughters, Lindsay and Laurie. Dewey Street is also welcoming other craft experts to teach in the professional space. The business additionally offers “open studio” time when the general public may come in to work on crafts with the assistance of Dewey Street staff.

Dewey Street is launching with several types of lessons including: indie, textile and art. Indie covers a wide range of techniques including a “mash-up” of traditional lessons with a modern aesthetic, book binding and paper printing. Textile uses fabrics as a canvas with exploration including bleach printing, pattern design and fabric printing. Art blurs the lines between craft and art, and focuses more on self expression with projects including collage and decoupage.

Additionally, Dewey Street is offering several types of series. Examples include sewing, home and garden, and guest teacher, which brings experts from across the Las Vegas area to teach the skill or craft they know best, broadening the offerings of Dewey Street. This translates into Dewey Street constantly evolving and incorporating new and innovative methods to customers.

Lessons at Dewey Street reach all ages and ability levels. Instruction will appeal to everything from the contemporary crafting movement to traditional techniques. All people aged from child to senior will find a niche and class at Dewey Street, or may take advantage of the “open studio” time.

The name and foundation of Dewey Street find roots with 90-year-old Joan Faust who lived on Dewey Street in West Springfield, MA for nearly all of her life and raised a family as she literally turned trash into treasures. Her influence inspired daughter Cindy, and Cindy’s daughters, to launch the new business in Joan’s memory. The lessons they pass to the Las Vegas community are Joan’s legacy.

Founder Cindy Nickerson has been sewing almost all of her life and can perform nearly all forms of stitchery. T he gifted seamstress also ran a successful embroidery business for nearly 25 years in Massachusetts. Cindy operates one of the largest professional grade long arm sewing machines in the area. Her service offers a speedy and professional alternative to work that is commonly done in homes and a level of perfection through state-of-the art computerized technology. The precise stitching creates a high-quality, yet personalized piece that will last for generations.

Cindy’s daughter Lindsay carries on the legacy of quilting and sewing. She is a mother of two (soon to be three) and brings innovation to crafting with small children. Lindsay also  has a green thumb, which morphed into a complementing talent of creating vintage spoon plant markers.

Laurie, Cindy’s other daughter, cannot sew a straight line. However, she offers balance to the women of her family with strong artistic talent. Laurie keeps busy with her day job as Art Director for a leading Las Vegas firm and teaching a course at the Art Institute. Surprisingly, she finds enough spare time to move the artsy side of Dewey Street in the right direction. Her skills include painting, assemblage, book binding and perhaps most fun of all, puppet making.

Dewey Street’s interior reflects Laurie’s artistic vision. Lessons are taught around antique tables and a close look at the chair cushions will reveal a pattern of the Dewey Street logo. The walls are a soft blue and hanging art was designed and framed by Laurie.

The owners also advance Joan’s legacy by helping the community. The last Sunday of every month, Dewey Street offers its space, knowledge and time to a non-profit organization.

Dewey Street, located at 2960 S. Durango Suite 111 in Las Vegas, is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday in addition to regularly scheduled class times and appointments. More information is available by going to

Want To Send Your Child To College? Better Start Saving

Fort Worth, TX. - According to a recent College Board Annual Survey of Colleges, the price tag on a college education is rising faster than the price of groceries and health care. In the last ten years, in-state tuition and fees for public four-year colleges increased 5.6% annually on top of a CPI growth of 2%. The average estimated total cost for most public in-state four-year students (varies by state) vary between $65,000 to $90,000. Tax expert and CPA, Manjula Modi, explains further.
“It means that if you were blessed with the birth of a child recently, you will need to save $430 monthly to pay for in-state college tuition, fees, room and board. Double this too, to cover the full costs of an average private institution. This does not even include money for a cell phone, dorm decor or other things college students deem necessary, ” Modi stated.
Now it’s true: most students don’t pay full price for college. In 2011-12, undergraduate students received an average of $12,894 in financial aid, split almost equally between loans and grants. Grants are the most attractive because students are not saddled with a repayment plan after college. Federal grants make up 26% of total aid. Institutional college grants account for 17%, state grants for 6% and private and employer grants (scholarships) for 4%.
But that hasn’t stopped the fact that students are graduating with larger debt loads than they were 10 years ago. Public four-year college borrowers graduate with an average of $19,800 in debt; their nonprofit private college counterparts graduate owing $26,100. This private college debt is 17% more than it was 10 years earlier, even after accounting for inflation. In addition, a growing percentage of all college debt is unsubsidized and begins accrui ng interest immediately.
So, students will have to make smarter education choices. Today’s global marketplace puts more value on hard skills such as engineering, computer technology, teaching and finance. Technical degrees and certificate programs will become commonplace. A liberal arts education will likely diminish in popularity and become more focused at the elite institutions. More students are likely to begin their education at lower-cost community colleges, and complete a four-year degree at schools that specialize in their concentration.
“Parents may feel overwhelmed about the amount they need to save for college. But college education is one of the two lifetime investments for which we approve borrowing money (the other is a home mortgage). Students should plan to graduate with a debt load no higher than half of what they can reasonably expect from their first year’s salary. For example, those with a s tarting salary of $40,000 should keep their debt at or below $20,000. Thus graduates can dedicate 10% of their annual salary to school debt and pay it off in five years,” Modi advised. “New parents who are able should immediately begin saving $430 a month for college. Alternatively, a one-time $50,000 investment should cover tuition, fees, room and board at an in-state college 18 years from now. Yes, this is pretty scary. But there are other options…”
Giving a child the gift of a college education and a debt-free start to adulthood is one choice. Other parents believe their children should participate in financing their college education and can apply the 50/50 savings approach. Parents commit to saving half of the money needed, and their children commit to the other half. Students participate by working hard in high school, applying for scholarships, taking summer jobs, seeking out work-study opportunities and accep ting reasonable loan levels.
The support of grandparents can help tremendously. The vast majority of the college accounts that I’ve seen are owned and funded by grandparents. Instead of buying the latest gadgets for their grandchildren, they make annual contributions to a college savings account. If the grandparents own the account, it has the added advantage of not being included as a resource on the student’s financial aid forms — and that is a beautiful advantage.
“One last thing,” Modi added. “I’m not a stocks advisor, but strictly from a planner’s perspective--I do NOT recommend to our clients that they invest their education savings in prepaid college tuition plans. At best, these tend to match college inflation, and if used at an out-of-state institution, returns are based on money market rates, which are abysmally low right now.

Crow Canyon Archaeological Center to Offer Learning Vacations

I loved the banter back and forth between my fellow \\\'diggers\\\' and the excitement when someone made a discovery.--Libby Shafer

Explore an Ancient Culture in the Southwest While Relaxing and Regenerating

An increasing number of adult travelers are looking to vacation time not only as an occasion to relax and regenerate, but as an opportunity to learn. With a 30-year history of providing hands-on educational experiences to the public, the Crow Canyon Ar chaeological Center near Cortez, Colo., has expanded its adult programs to meet this demand.

Crow Canyon invites lifelong learners to join its archaeologists for excavations, lab work, or experimental artifact replication as they explore the 1,500-year-old history of the ancestral Pueblo people in the Southwest. The Center offers three programs for adults: the Archaeology Research Program, Archaeology Research Seminar, and Archaeology Lab Program. All programs take place at the Center’s campus, surrounded by the majestic scenery of southwestern Colorado.

Archaeology Research Program

This year, Crow Canyon continues its Basketmaker Communities Project, focusing on ancestral Pueblo history from A.D. 500–750. Participants excavate at the Center’s current excavation site and analyze artifacts in the lab alongside leading Southwestern archaeologists. A guided tour of Mesa Verde National Park is included. Weeks are available in June, August, September, and October.

Archaeology Research Seminar

Part pottery workshop, part experimental archaeology, the 2013 Adult Research Seminar explores the technological and social aspects of ancient Pueblo pottery production from A.D. 500–1300. Using locally available materials and traditional Pueblo techniques, participants will build, paint, and fire their own vessels in an attempt to replicate ancestral Pueblo black-on-white pottery. August 11–17.

Archaeology Lab Program

This year\'s Archaeology Lab Program will focus on ancestral Pueblo jewelry and other ornaments. In the lab, participants will analyze beads, pendants, and other items of personal adornment from sites that Crow Canyon is currently excavating. In addition, traditional tools and techniques will be used to make a variety of ornaments out of the same materials used by ancestral Pueblo Indian people. October 6–12.

Family Archaeology Week is also available August 4–10.

Grammar Chic, Inc. Urges Job Seekers to Combine Traditional Resume Writing and Social Media Tactics to Create a Well-Rounded Professional Image

Amanda E. Clark, president and editor-in-chief of Grammar Chic, Inc., responds to reports of the decline of the paper resume by asserting the importance of looking at both traditional resume writing and social networking practices when searching for a new job.

The nature of the job search has certainly changed with the advent of the Internet, as employers are increasingly calling upon the power of the World Wide Web to recruit, screen and evaluate talent. While some industry professionals, such as Amanda E. Clark of Grammar Chic, Inc., view the Internet as a wonderful component of a well-rounded job search, others are anticipating t he eventual demise of the paper resume altogether. An article published by HR News Daily poses the question, \"Are paper resumes dead?\" in its headline. Clark answers that no, they are not, and provides insight to job seekers regarding how to balance their traditional job search practices with online networking and other Internet-based activities.

The article warns: \"Get ready for the moment you see a job post saying, \'no paper resumes.\' Companies will identify qualified candidates by social media influence on Klout and Twitter, using hashtags for job seekers to apply for jobs [...] More human resources departments are spending time searching for candidates on the Web, more time than staring at paper resumes.\"

While the Internet does offer valuable information regarding some candidates, it is not a tool that can provide a comprehensive picture of their professional capabilities. At the end of the article the cons of using an Internet-based job search process, rather than one that incorporates traditional resumes and cover letters, are listed. One of these is that recruiters may be misled by the information provided by a candidate\'s online presence in the form of false positives. Additionally, Clark asserts, highly talented job seekers who have not established a strong online image may be overlooked. This is one of the reasons why Clark encourages individuals to pay attention to both their paper resumes and their image on the World Wide Web.

\"When it comes to providing targeted information regarding a candidate\'s skills, experiences and accomplishments, the traditional paper resume is a highly powerful tool when written effectively,\" asserts Clark. \"With a professionally written resume and cover letter, a job candidate can successfully highlight the value that they can provide to their next employer. This said, though, it is important that job seekers understand that hiring managers and recruiters are surfing the World Wide Web, doing research on candidates that they are considering. As such, I always recommend that anyone who is looking for a job pays close attention to the online presence that they have created.\"

Clark encourages job seekers to take an inventory of their online assets, such as social media profiles, websites and blogs, by doing a quick search for their name. They should then ensure that these assets reflect them in as positive and professional a light as possible.

\"Something as simple as changing your profile picture on Facebook can make a major difference in how hiring managers perceive you,\" Clark comments. \"Because of this, I think it\'s a great idea for job seekers to polish their social media profiles in terms of their images and content. Taking down or refraining from sharing posts that are offensive or even just off color can do a lot to improve an online image—and this is key when looking for a job in today\'s competitive market.\"

Ultimately, Clark notes, hiring managers and recruiters are going to search for the names of the candidates in which they are interested online. By syncing LinkedIn profiles to paper resumes, removing inappropriate photos from Facebook and Twitter and engaging in positive, meaningful networking activities, job seekers can improve their online image and complement the traditional resume and cover letter that they provide to potential employers.

Clark and the Grammar Chic, Inc. team encourage all interested individuals to call (803) 831-7444 or email for more information about resume and cover letter writing services, including details regarding pricing, turnaround time, etc. Additionally, individuals can access information pertaining to the use of social media and the development of a positive online presence.

New Book Launches, Naked Civics: Strip Away the Politics to Build a Better World

“It is also about consumers taking action by providing feedback to these businesses, starting conversations about them to influence others and engaging in social media platforms to voice their opinion.”
Nate Garvis, who honed his expertise during an 18-year public affairs career at Target Corporation, launches a new book titled, Naked Civics: Strip Away the Politics to Build a Better World. A senior fellow of social innovation at Babson College, Garvis shares thought-provoking strategies to improve the current business climate, communities and the country by “creating cultural change through civic design.”
The book offers a fresh perspective on how anyone – individuals, businesses and other institutions – can contribute to short-and long-term societal change. Garvis states, “We can produce lasting change without the political drama. Laws are sometimes necessary, but we cannot rely solely on politicians and the time it takes to pass legislation to create these important changes. We need to move beyond the current state of hyper-partisanship. No matter how good, how powerful a law is, it is never enough. If widespread change is to be gained, it is through a larger force: culture.”
The book describes how this great world can be even better -- one action at a time. He challenges Americans to come together as a community and work together -- for the common good -- and to set forth our own civic designs.
Garvis, a strategic counsel to leaders across various industries, cites many inspirational examples of how different businesses are contributing to dramatic cultural and social change by:
Designing Products with a Conscience. Companies can build good values into product design. Garvis points to fast-growing Oliberté Shoes, which makes each shoe with handpicked free-range leather and does all of its manufacturing in African countries with distressed economies. With locally sourced materials and a pledge to environmental responsibility, the most important aspect of Oliberté’s efforts is its intention to wean these poor nations from their dependency on aid.
Making an Impact through Personal Action. Andrew Zimmern, teacher and host of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, is tapping into his food innovation skills to make a worldwide impact in the food industry. He is getting the word out on aquaculture farmers who are bringing back economic viability and ecological sustainability on the Carolina coast with innovative artificial reef designs.
Working Together with a Civic Mindset. PricewaterhouseCoopers, through its Earn Your Future campaign, recently announced a $160 million commitment to advance youth education and financial literacy in the U.S. This will ultimately produce better outcomes in education.
Additionally, Garvis points out that it is more than just purchasing a product because we believe in the company’s values and social responsibility. “It is also about consumers taking action by providing feedback to these businesses, starting conversations about them to influence others and engaging in social media platforms to voice their opinion.”
Throughout the book, Garvis shows how individuals can partake in small actions that can lead to powerful impacts on our culture, such as:
Contribute to Positive Change. Pick an issue, a practice, or a product you would like to influence – something that really engages you – and learn everything about it to see how you can contribute to engaging others behind it.
Advocate for Healthier Food Systems. Want to combat the negative environmental impacts of industrial feedlot beef? Rather than fighting to outlaw this practice, eat free range beef or other sources of protein. Buy organic food without a law insisting upon it, and then influence others to do the same.
Make a Statement with Every Dollar. Dislike the persistent state of poverty in sub-Saharan Africa? Rather than merely sending aid, buy something made there and create economic prosperity instead. Raise the Spirit of the Community. Organize and support events in your neighborhood to help others in need, and get young children and adults involved. This will also bring better safety to your neighborhood.
Go Green. Interested in the environmental movement? Buy a car that doesn’t harm the planet with greenhouse emissions and purchase eco-friendly products. The more eco-friendly products and services that you buy everyday, surround your live with, the better for the planet and economy.
Naked Civics: Strip Away the Politics to Build a Better World is the ultimate how-to guide for implementing everyday societal change for the greater good of communities everywhere.
Retails for $4.95 (e-book) and $23.95 (hardcover).

Low Cost Organic Gardening Solutions Using Hydroponic Garden Supplies Now Available Online

Iowa\\\'s hydroponic garden supplies and services show the way to cultivate commercial size produce in a controlled environment.

Hydroponic is a modern cultivation technique that is rapidly scaling the popularity charts. The cultivation of fresh, organic produce is achieved through a method where soil is not used at all. offers organic gardening solutions which enables effortless cultivation of delicious produce, fresh herbs and even flowers using hydroponic garden supplies. Unlike conventional gardening methods, this modern cultivation method is not messy, does not involve weeds or outdoor bugs and chemicals, and hydroponic kits are set up easily and quickly in a very little amount of space.

Hydroponic kits is a very recent development but is rapidly gaining in popularity. The Anywhere Garden Kit uses a method in which plants grow in water containing all essential plant nutrients without soil. This advanced method of gardening delivers a high yield of crops.  Plants grown with a hydroponic kit usually grow faster than conventional crops. One of the interesting features of hydroponic farming is that soil is not used, rather, with a water garden, other media such as clay pellets are used to support plants suspended in nutrient rich water.

Hydroponic gardening has many advantages besides the organic, high quality and pesticide-free produce one is able to grow at low cost.  The holding tank of hydroponic kit maintains a clean root zone medium bacteria, so common garden pests cannot attack or damage plants. Also, more crop cycles can be introduced when compared to traditional gardening methods. Water used for hydroponic cultivation stays in the system and can be reused. In locations where water is a scarce and expensive, this is a huge advantage.  A hydroponic systemcontrols the nutrition levels in its entirety and thus lowers nutrition costs appreciably.

Hydroponic kits from are affordable, reusable, and designed to help you save money, time and the hassles of working a conventional garden. The Anywhere Garden Kit is the perfect solution for producing fresh organic vegetables, berries, herbs and flowers at a reduced cost against the steadily rising price of food.  An Anywhere Garden Kit provides the ideal growing conditions for plants by optimizing nutrients, light, air, and water for plants.

Debbie Gardner of Survive Institute Heads to South Adams School in Berne, Indiana to Speak to the Student Body about Dating Violence

Debbie Gardner, of Survive Institute will assist South Adams Schools in complying with the dating violence education requirement. Her 90 minute interactive presentation is customized for grades 6 through 12. While in Indiana Survive Institute Offers a Self Defense Session to the Public on March 12th.

Heather's Law requires the Indiana Department of Education, in collaboration with organizations that have expertise in dating violence, domestic violence and sexual abuse, to develop or identify model dating violence educational materials, and model dating violence response and reporting policies.

Debbie Gardner will assist South Adams Schools in complying with the dating violence education requirement. Her 90 minute interactive presentation is customized for grades 6 through 12. "Debbie Gardner, comes highly recommended, she has vast experience on dealing with children and violence," praises South Adams School Counselor Sheila Graber. "Her no-nonsense approach to violence and courage are desperately needed for kids who are starving for simple truths for immediate safety." Continues Graber.

Debbie's seminar will immediately empower South Adams students, faculty and community members with life-saving concepts, updates and techniques such as:
• Look and speak with authority
• Recognize and outsmart crime set-ups
• Know when to "talk" … then "strike" LEGALLY
• React to ARMED attacker

Mike Gardner of Survive Institute explains why a new approach is important – "Students need a fresh alternative to their past self-defense experiences which likely emphasized complicated karate-type moves, boring crime statistics, high pressure mace sales, scary crime tales and unrealistic safety rhetoric (never walk alone, don't talk to strangers, just be aware, just use your commonsense, etc.). Kids deserve better and Debbie provides that.
Survive Institute is partnering with the South Adams School District to offer a seminar to the public on Tuesday, March 12 at South Adams High School located at 1000 Parkway St, Berne, IN 46711. The seminar is 1.5 hours in length and begins at 7:00. Donations needed and appreciated to defray costs and will be taken at the door.

Purebold Introduces Dazzling Golf Gloves in 10 Distinct Colors

Here is a chance for golfers to set up their own style – from an array of best golf gloves made of premium cabretta leather

Escondido, CA; USA, 04 February 2013: PureBold – a golf equipment company based in Escondido, CA, is making a brave move to enhance the style and functionality of golfers. Michael Belleggie, the founder, is enticing putters with an offering of best golf gloves in 10 distinct colors.

Golf gloves are seen with a function nothing more than to protect blisters. And traditionally we are all used to watching putters wearing either black or white gloves.

"Golf has always been conservative when it comes to making a fashion statement", says a prominent golf equipment manufacturer. "Now it is following suit, eventually."

The golf gear scene is witnessing a change gradually, albeit unquestionably. New materials, fits, combined with youthful attitudes are helping push trendy accessories in the market. The mantra now is to inject style and color into the game.

"People are tired of seeing white gloves. Now they want something that matches their shirts, trousers, and hats", says a seasoned golfer.

Purebold has a simple answer to this plea. The company has made a beginning by introducing best golf gloves in 10 alluring colors – purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red, pink, grey, black, and white. To not compromise on quality and comfort, the gloves are made of 100 per cent premium Cabretta leather.

As Michael Belleggie, the founder of the company says, "100 per cent premium Cabretta leather is like second skin, meeting the requirements of the glove without sacrificing any feel".

Golf aficionados will no doubt insist that players must buy gloves primarily to maintain a firm grip on the golf clubs. In addition gloves help prevent blisters on hands and provide moisture control in warm and humid climates.

Choosing the right size is of course important. A player who has relatively short fingers with wide palms must select a cadet golf glove. Regardless of whether it is a standard or cadet golf glove it should fit snugly but not too tight.

With all the functionality taken care of, style still matters. Each golfer would like to look unique befitting their personality.

Happily PureBold's offerings give the impression that panache and flair has come to dominate gloves – without sacrificing functionality.
