The Global Mission for Children, a Worldwide Child Sponsorship Charity Announces “Save the Dog’s” Campaign

Bradenton, FL (Sharewellnewswire.com) September 7, 2012 – GlobalMissionforChildren.org (“GMFC”), a worldwide Christian children’s charity announced today they are launching an online campaign to help eradicate the despicable act of Africans eating Dog meat. GMFC is expanding their educational program to include teaching the African people the incredible joy dogs give humans as pets while bringing much needed food to them as a substitute to dog meat. GMFC is also launching a program in the United States to help the 3-4 million dogs and cats that get killed each year by donating to “no kill” shelters.

James Miller, co-founder of Global Mission for Children states “we are adding to our curriculum the importance of dog’s as “man’s best friend”. The consumption of dog meat is increasing at an alarming rate. For years it was an underground practice but recently it has become mainstream. Thousands of restaurants have added dog meat to their menu. Dog tails, dog ribs, dog eyes are just a few of the dishes served on the menu. “We have prayed to expand our reach to help eradicate this horrific practice” Pastor Wilson Westphal comments. He continues “In addition to medicine, clean water, education and the love of God we are adding the teachings of how dog’s are precious pets and they should never be consumed by humans.” The following article from the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/6419041.stm outlines this practice by explaining the falsehoods about dog meat. They believe it has medicinal properties as well as spiritual ones.

“We made a decision today to add this to our curriculum so the young children can learn early that this is unacceptable. James States “the African people simply do not have enough food to eat and resorting to this practice is all these people know. Raising dogs is easier then raising cattle”. In many cases these dogs are beaten to death by clubs and die a painful death. GMFC is asking for help in combating this “way of life” that has become “normal” practice in many areas. By donating just $1 a day individuals can help bring food and education to these people and eradicate this practice.

There are other nonprofit organizations that help animals but after investigating these groups GMFC found they spend up to 50% of their donations to paying countless millions to “executives” each year. GMFC uses 100% of all donations to help their noble causes so donors can feel comfortable to donate their hard earned money.

GMFC has served in the poorest countries in the world, Guinea Bissau & Niger Africa and Nepal, Asia for the past 8 ½ years and have helped thousands. They have fulltime volunteer missionaries that put their lives on the line everyday to help less fortunate children and now dogs. GMFC is in desperate need of donations as millions more children and dog’s need to be helped and soon”.

GMFC confirms it is a fact that 30,000 children and thousands of dogs die daily in Africa daily. By the time it takes one to read this press release, approximately 50 children will die of hunger and hundreds of dogs will be slaughtered for human consumption. Global Mission for Children is on the forefront to combat these atrocities and certain death of millions of both humans and dogs each and every year.
