An appeal has been launched by Fighting Dementia Proactive to develop the next stage of their cognitive tests to support healthy brain aging

Beverley Hills, CA – A funding appeal has been launched by Fighting Dementia Proactive, with the aim being to raise enough money to take the development of their cognitive tests, called MemTrax Plus, to the next stage. The development team aims to provide computerized cognitive tools to the global population with a view to promoting healthier brain aging.

In order to take the testing to the next stage, the developers are hoping to raise $30,000. Those wishing to contribute can do so until January 6th 2014, which is the deadline for receiving contributions. At this stage all funds raised will be put towards the project. Those who do contribute will be able to benefit from a variety of perks based on the amount that they donate.

Those who contribute $20 will receive a MemTrax bumper sticker while those who contribute $100 will have their picture included in the MemTrax memory test. For those who contribute $200 there will be a bumper sticker, a picture on the MemTrax test, and a one on one consultation with Dr Ashford. Contributors of $1000 or more will receive all of these perks along with a spot on the credits and link page.

An official involved in the project said: "For any new development, it can be difficult to get funding for your project. However, we believe that the cognitive tests we are developing will play an invaluable role in helping people to benefit from healthy brain aging. We are therefore hoping to raise as much money as possible to move this forward to the next stage, as this is a tool that could help millions of people across the globe. All contributors will play a vital role in developing this test. No matter how big or small the contribution, every cent counts."
