BASILIO - A FLAVOURFUL NEW TWIST ON AN OLD-WORLD BEVERAGE

April 22, 2014 – California, USA. Made from the well-known natural herb Basil, it contains multivitamins, is sweet, and tastes great alone or as a mix. This new drink Basilio is healthy and provides anew twist for your favourite cocktails.

After tasting the concoction as a young Armenian boy Basilio’s founder and CEO Mr. Garush Manukyan recently got in touch with Armenian relatives to re-discover a recipe for the flavourful beverage of his childhood. “I remembered that when I was five years old my Great-Grand Mother used to make some kind of a Syrup from Basil. … I called my family [in Armenia] to find the recipe.”

After making a gallon he let friends try it — they all loved it. He then offered it for ‘taste testing’ as a cocktail mix with Vodka. It was a hit. From there, the business idea for the Basilio product was born. Donations via the new Basilio Indiegogo crowd sourced funding campaign will be used to develop a ready for production structure along with the machinery necessary to produce a quality product along with all the rules and regulations required to have a product that can be sold internationally. There are perks for those looking to get in at the ‘ground floor’ and every bit helps. With your support he hopes to have quality finished product with worldwide distribution the next few years.

Research indicates that there are several health benefits associated with basil. For more information on Basilio’s nutritional breakdown and campaign funding perks check out the campaign site. Even if you can’t donate, spread the word to your social circles. You may be sipping Basilio at home or a club near you soon.
