Rafael Lovato, Jr. heading-up the largest American Team to ever be represented at the ADCC World Championships, filling 4 out of the 5 male weight divisions.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA, October 9, 2013,Beijing, China is the venue for the upcoming ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championships. Rafael Lovato, Jr., who is the most decorated American BJJ in history, has put together a superb group of competitors that intend to come-out on top, and return home to America victorious. Rafael will be accompanied by two of his Black Belts, Justin Rader & James Puopolo, and Purple Belt, Jared Dopp. This world-class competition is to be held October 19 and 20.

The ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championships is considered the Olympics of Grappling.  Only the best of the best are invited to compete, and represent different fighting disciplines: jiu-jitsu, wrestling, judo, sambo, shooto and mixed martial arts. Many of the past ADCC champions have been high level practitioners of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Team Lovato will have 4 out of the 5 weight divisions represented.

Rafael Lovato, Jr. and his team are enduring a grueling 6-day a week training routine. They feel they will be arriving in Beijing at the peak of their physical and mental condition, and will be ready to attack the fierce competitors. This competition is no walk in the park, and only the best will walk away with a Belt. Rafael became the first non-Brazilian to win the Title in the Black Belt Absolute Division at the 2013 Brazilian Nationals in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He fought his way through five highly competitive matches to emerge as the winner in the most prestigious division in any tournament.
