Columbia, SC (June 20, 2013) -- For the second consecutive year, Samurai Karate Studio has been selected for the 2013 Best of Columbia Award in the Martial Arts Instruction category by the Columbia Award Program.
Each year, the Columbia Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Columbia area a great place to live, work and play.

Samurai Karate Studio teaches children and adults, beginning at age 4. They offer a comprehensive character and life skills curriculum that develops leadership skills for success outside the dojo. Feldt commented, "As much as we are focused on teaching our students how to defend themselves when confronted with a bully or an attack on the street, we are even more passionate about developing character and leadership skills which will help our students achieve success in their relationships, in school and work."
Nationwide, only 1 in 70 (1.4%) 2013 Award recipients qualified as Two-Time Award Winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2013 Columbia Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Columbia Award Program and data provided by third parties.
