As it continues to grow and to become one of Indiana’s premier destinations for food-lovers and culinary professionals, Artisano’s Oils & Spices has announced a major, strategic expansion. The company has signed a lease to move into a newly remodeled Nora Shops West building, almost directly across the street from its current location in the Nora neighborhood. The new, expanded location—more than tripling the square footage of Artisano’s current location—will also bring with it a new array of product lines.
“Our business is growing, and we need more space,” comments Artisano’s owner David Burcham. “It was important for us to stay in the Nora community. We didn’t want to move too far away from our long-standing location, but do need more room to reveal an expanded selection and a larger variety of products. We are excited to have found an opportunity to expand without going too far.”
The new location of Artisano’s will be located in the Nora Shops West, at 1250 E 86th Street, Suite 200, in Indianapolis. While there is not a definite date set for the transition, Burcham hopes to be in the new building by the end of spring.
Burcham says the new location will help Artisano’s gain more visibility and foot traffic. “We will be nestled between two great businesses, Starbucks and Chef Ryan Nelson’s new BBQ restaurant, with Target directly behind us,” he explains. Burcham is also excited about using this new space to bring in an extended lineup of products, including pickles and both dry and fresh pastas. Long-time Artisano’s patrons will be excited to know that Burcham also intends to dramatically expand the store’s lineup of extra virgin olive oils, spices, balsamic vinegars, and salts. “There will be some exciting surprises, as well,” he promises. “For one thing, our goal is to have the Midwest’s largest selection of sea salts.”
“We are excited for the opportunity to keep growing, and to offer our customers an even bigger selection of high-quality food products,” Burcham continues. “In fact, it is because of our ever-growing and loyal customer base that this expansion is possible. More and more people are trying to eat healthy and fresh ingredients, and they’re in search of the highest-quality oils and spices. Artisano’s is happy to deliver.”
Burcham looks forward to the move, not only because of the opportunity to exhibit some new wares but also to host some in-store events. “This is an exciting new chapter in the history of our business, and we’re grateful for all the food-loving folks who have chosen to come along for the ride,” he remarks.
